CASWELL SHARE TIME
Everyone is invited to join us this Sunday, June
25, during Early Worship at 8:45 a.m. for Caswell
share. Join us as our youth lead us in worship
and share their Caswell experience. We will also
have a slide show of our week during the Sunday
School hour.
MISSION SERVE THANK YOU
Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your ministry
to our county and to Mission Serve this summer.
Your service to the youth and adults from churches
in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, and
North Carolina was one of the most talked about
highlights of their week. As gracious hosts, you
went above and beyond in loving these missionaries
in Johnston County as you worshiped with them,
prayed for them and fed them. I especially want
to thank Judy Sasser and her team who got up before
the crack of dawn to prepare breakfast for 150
young people and adults, Sunday School classes
that took care of the Mission Serve Staff, Cheryl
Campbell and Martha Macias of Rey De Reyes and
their team who prepared and served the Thursday
night meal, Ken Williams who helped the crew with
supplies, FBC Smithfield youth who served as staff
and the many FBC Smithfield and Rey De Reyes youth
who volunteered throughout the week. Thank you
for all your efforts in helping make this a wonderful
mission experience for them and for your love
and care in our community.
Next year, Mission Serve will return to Johnston
County bringing more church groups into our area
in July 9-16, 2011. We hope you will once again
take part in this very effective ministry to our
community.
Again, thank you for your love in action to the
participants of Mission Serve and to our community.
Serving Christ Together,
Tommy Cook

QUASQUICENTENNIAL
This year, our Baptist Children’s Homes
celebrates its Quasquicentennial (125 years!)
N.C. Baptists are becoming a part of history by
creating personalized tapestry squares which will
be tied together to make a huge “Growing
Hope” tapestry. I am thrilled that our 6th
graders created squares in Vacation Bible School
this year. If you would like to decorate a square,
please call me at 934-3749 as I will be ordering
additional squares soon. Thank you for your loving
support of Baptist Children’s Homes. Carolyn
