6:15 p.m. for Snack Supper followed by Bible Study
at 7:00 p.m. Cooper & Steven Andrews, Taylor
& Trevor Haines, Fronia Knott, Alison &
James McMillen, Garrett Massengill, Emily Raynor,
George Smith, and Annie Watson are responsible
for Snack Supper.
2010
ALL YOUTH MISSION TRIP
Salyersville, KY on June 26-July 3, 2010
Cost: $100 ($50 due NOW)
As we did last year, just our youth group will
be doing home repairs in a small Kentucky community.
The youth will start the week off with white-water
rafting on June 27th then hang on for a week of
hard work, great food and lots of good times and
fellowship.

February 20, 2010 is the official date for the
Youth Auction. We are looking forward to another
great event for the church and our youth! Start
thinking about those donations…..we need
items such as: Antiques, Professional Services,
Cakes and Pies, Vacation Home Weekends, Gift Certificates,
Homemade Quilts/Afghans, Sports Tickets, New Electronics,

COASTAL WOMEN’S RETREAT
The Coastal Women’s Retreat will be held
February 26 – 28, 2010 at Caswell. All women
are invited to attend. The theme is “Make
a Splash.” The cost for the weekend is $134.00.

SUMMER
COLLEGE STUDENT MINISTRY INTERN
First Baptist Church is accepting resumes for
a Summer Ministry Intern who will work with the
Youth ministry and some of the children’s
summer programming. Applicants must have completed
their second year of college, have a sense of
calling toward full time Christian Ministry, and
be an active participant in at least one Christian
organization at college. Interested students should
forward their resume by mail, with a letter of
interest and three references to First Baptist

FOR LIFE MEETING
There will be a Relay for Life Meeting January
24, 2010 at 3:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. If

CALLING
ALL MEN
Calling all men who like to sing to be part of
a men’s chorus for Baptist Men’s Day,
January 24th. We will rehearse January 20 at 7:30
p.m. in the Sanctuary (20 – 30 minutes).
CAPITAL
STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Over the next several months we will embark on
a journey of prayer and commitment as we continue
our plans to renovate the old Smithfield Herald
building into a Ministry Center. Our campaign
is called “Building to Serve.” Our
goal in this campaign is that all members of First
Baptist will be involved on one of our many teams.
