YOUTH NEWS
FBC Youth will meet Sunday, January 27 at 6:15 p.m. for Snack Supper followed by Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. Justin Hensley, Kevin Smith, Sean, Jonathan & Jeremiah David, Taylor & Trevor Haines, Courtney Holmes and Giovanni Loia are responsible for Snack Supper.

TRUE LOVE WAITS
The True Love Waits weekend will be February 1-3. The theme for the weekend is titled “Courting, Dating, and Hanging Out.” Youth will be staying at host homes for the weekend. The cost is $25*. You can still sign-up, call Tommy. This opportunity only comes around once every 3 years, so be sure to sign up! (*scholarships available!!)

SUMMER COLLEGE STUDENT MINISTRY INTERN
First Baptist Church is accepting resumes for a Summer Ministry Intern who will work with the Youth ministry and some of the children’s summer programming. Applicants must have completed their second year of college, have a sense of calling toward full time Christian Ministry, and be an active participant in at least one Christian organization at college. Interested students should forward their resume by mail, with a letter of interest and three references to First Baptist Church, 202 S. MUSIC NOTES
NC Baptist Singers will be in concert at First Baptist Cary on Monday, January 28. A group from the church will be going. Call the church office to sign up.

BAPTIST MEN’S DAY
Baptist Men’s Day is coming Sunday, January 27. All men are invited to sing with the men’s chorus at the 10:55 service, warming up at 10:35 in the music room. The Baptist Blend Quartet will sing at both services.

2008 NORTH CAROLINA BAPTIST MISSIONS CONFERENCE & CONVENTION
The North Carolina Baptist Missions Conference and Convention will be February 29 – March 1. Featured presenters include Anne Graham Lotz, Mark Lowry and the Annie Moses Band. There will be Mission Action Conferences, Mission Fair Exhibits, Volunteer Suppers, testimonies, music and much more. We have 10 rooms on hold at the Sleep Inn-Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem. ($65 per night including breakfast-336.774.8020) Call to make your reservation. Let’s get a good group together for a wonderful time of fellowship and worship. Contact the church office for conference registration forms, if you need a roommate, if you would like to ride together (there will be a $10 fee for gas.)

A TIME FOR PRAYER

ATTENTION WOMEN…..COME JOIN US
Please join us February 22 – 24 for the Women’s Retreat at Caswell. This year’s theme is “Blended to Perfection.” Come and share in this three day retreat for women of all ages and be challenged to live with joy and expectation in all of life’s circumstances. This year’s speaker is Phyllis Foy and music will be led by Cindy Johnson. The scripture passage for the weekend is Micah 6:8 and the speaker will be using the fruit of the spirit scripture to complement this passage. Several workshops will be led. One workshop, Living in the World Not of the World, will focus on the struggle Christians face everyday, and how to share your Christian Faith with your spouse, children and other non-believers in your family. The cost is $114 which includes double occupancy rooms (including linens), four meals and program. FBC women will be staying in Lantana Lodge. WALKING DAILY WITH CHRIST
Centenary United Methodist Church will hold their 2008 Women’s Conference, Saturday, February 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The theme is “Walking Daily with Christ.” The cost is $20 with includes a light breakfast and lunch. MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
