So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

COME JOIN OUR TEAM
FBC RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM #41

For the past six years, FBC has participated as a team in the American Cancer society Relay for Life event. This year’s event will be held at JCC on June 1 & 2. Well over 70 teams participated last year with a large number of the teams representing churches from all over the county. Over 10,000 people came together to remember those that have suffered and lost their battle with cancer and celebrate with those that are winning their battle. Our purpose and our prayer continues to be that our participation will glorify God. In 2006 Relay for Life in Johnston County raised over $420,000. There are many ways to become involved in this worthwhile project. Through prayer, please allow the Lord to lead you to participate. God’s light will shine through us in working together for this cause. How you can participate….

  • Assist in the concession stand or donate items that are needed.
  • Purchase a T-shirt and sign-up to be a walker for the 24 hour event (deadline 3/31/07).
  • Purchase a luminary for $10 that will burn in memory or in honor of a friend or family member that has fought cancer (deadline 5/27/07).
  • Survivors can notify us by 3/31/07 in order to be put on our survivor list.

Church members of ALL AGES are urged to participate. Cancer does not discriminate and neither do we. Please contact Carolyn Jones at 934-7742 or Jennifer Moore at 938-0242 if you are interested.
