HOLY
WEDNESDAY
Make plans to join us Wednesday, March 31 for
Holy Wednesday Service at 6:30 P.M. in the Sanctuary.
We
will enjoy music by the Adult Choir and other
Ensembles, scripture commemorating the last day
of Christ’s life and Holy Communion.
CALL TO PRAYER
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on
earth...but lay up for yourselves treasure in
heaven. For where your treasure is, there your
heart will be also." Matthew 6:21
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart."
Matthew 22:37
"The
place where our treasure is, is the place we will
most want to be, and end up being." from
The Message
We tend to grow uncomfortable when the church
talks about money. WHY? Decisions about how we
live and how we use our resources are important!
Out faith is not separate from our finances!
A word count shows that Jesus talks more about
money/giving than believing, praying, or loving.
HE knew that our treasures and our hearts are
inseparably linked, so He talked about treasure
to reach the full allegiance of our hearts. Jesus
knew that dealing with our treasure was one of
those critical places where the rubber meets the
road... where the practicality of our faith is
tested... where what we believe becomes tangible
and real.
Prayer:
"Lord, teach me to love you with all my heart
- and with all my life. Submitted by the "Leadership
Prayer Team"
