HOUSEHOLD CLOSET NEEDS

The following items are needed in the Household Closet:

  • We have established a health care equipment area and any equipment is welcome. Please contact Dianne Shirley at 989-9659 if you have donations.
  • We have a need for a twin bed (already have a mattress) for a 4 year old girl with arthritis living with her grandmother. Contact A.J. or Mary Ball at 934-6382 if you can help fulfill this need.
  • Our kitchen area is getting low. Flatware, cooking utensils, dishes, pots & pans, etc., are needed. Call Susan Hill at 934-7245 if you have donations.
  • We have an ongoing need for bassinets and cribs. Many mothers do not have the resources for these items and sleep with their newborns. This is dangerous for the infant, and as a result four infants lost their lives last year. If you have donations please contact Gail Koffer at 631-0096.

Members of the Household Closet volunteers are Dianne Shirley, Gail Koffer, Mary & A.J. Ball, Susan Hill and Anesha Johnson. If you would like to help with this ministry, please feel free to join us on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the attic of the church.
In the past month the Household Closet has helped set up the following for independent living:

  • Mother and her six children
  • Another mother and her sis children
  • Injured mother with healthcare equipment
  • Grandmother with four year old arthritic granddaughter
  • Single disabled male
  • Elderly male displaced by fire
