those unwanted items to the Youth Yard Sale. New

Guatemala
Spring Mission Trip, April 11-18. Please be in
prayer for Elizabeth Ashley, Mallory Barnes, Tommy
Cook, Frank and Fronia Knott, and Robin Monteith
as they work with Tabitha Women’s Mission
(a ministry for women and their families some
of our Summer Missionaries spent time with last
summer) There we will be leading Vacation Bible
School for 30 preschoolers, distributing food
bags, repairing homes and helping with the business
operations of the ministry. We will be bringing
back a number of purses made by the women of the
Tabitha Women’s Mission to sell and continue
our support for these women. Please be in prayer
for these missionaries as they serve Christ.

for the John L. Ryberg Memorial Scholarship should
pickup an application from the church office.

BAPTIST
CHILDREN’S HOMES ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE
The annual food drive for the Baptist Children’s
Homes will be April 13th and 14th at JCC. We will
collect paper products again this year. So start
collecting. Watch the Visitor for more information
on dates you can begin dropping off supplies at
the church office storage room. If you would like
to make a monetary donation Harold and Carolyn
Tharrington will shop for supplies for you.

Our gratitude to all the Sanctuary Choir members,
Instrumental Ensemble players, Children’s
Choir members, Actors, behind the scenes personnel,
our pastor Lee the narrator, and our accompanist
Marshall Tyson for their extra efforts to bring
“Come, Touch the Robe” to life on
April 5. “Thank you” also to all the
families of readers at both the early and late
services who have led the “Symbols of Sacrifice”
Lenten observance, and to Ann Neville who coordinated
the tableau.
SOUP KITCHEN NEEDS YOU!!
The Soup Kitchen is in need of volunteers to help
drive on the fourth Thursday of each month, cook
on Monday, and serve on Monday and Thursday. If
you can help on Mondays, please contact Anesha

Dr. Henry F. Schaefer, III, will present “Big
Bang, Stephen Hawking, and God” at 2:00
p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15 in the
Paul A. Johnston Auditorium Lobby at JCC. The
lecture offers a Christian perspective on the
scientific theories of the origin of the universe.
The event is free and open to the public.
