YOUTH NEWS
FBC Youth meet Sunday, April 15 at 6:15 for Snack Supper followed by Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. Jonathan & Nan Daniels, Katie Barbour, Alex Green, Shane & Bennett Johnson, Claire & Annie Watson and Katie and Ben Youngblood are responsible for Snack Supper.

CASWELL DEPOSIT DUE
Caswell is June 18-23. Cost: $225. Call Tommy to sign up. If you signed-up, your deposit of $125 is due NOW.

BEACH RETREAT INFO.
Senior High Beach Retreat is April 27-29. Cost: $45.00. Sign up and pay at Youth Group or in the church office by April 15th.

YOUTH YARD SALE
It’s time to spring clean and donate all those unwanted items to the Youth Yard Sale. New and used items accepted (no clothing or computers.) We will have a trailer available soon. Please call the church office to make sure it is in place before you bring your items. Also, volunteers are needed for daytime and evening hours April 30 – May 4 for prep and pricing items. JOHN L. RYBERG SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Applications and criteria for the John L. Ryberg Memorial Scholarship are available in the church office. Any high school senior who is interested please see Glenda or Janice in the church office. Please submit the completed application to the church office by NEXT FRIDAY, APRIL 20th. If applicants or their parents have questions, please contact Gary Carter at 934-5607.

HISTORY TIDBIT
In 1894 pastor F. H. Poston and Rev. O. E. Horton held an organizational meeting of the Pisgah Baptist Church. Despite the low membership of the Smithfield Church, nineteen members withdrew to become charter members of Pisgah.

MUSIC NOTES
Now is a good time to join the Sanctuary Choir! We are beginning a new season of rehearsal to prepare music for not only Sunday mornings but also the patriotic service on July 1. Do you like to sing patriotic music? Talk to Kelley and come join us!! Get on board at rehearsal April 18.

COMING APRIL 22
Sunday evening April 22 is a community Unity Service planned by the pastors of our town. It is at 7 o’clock in our sanctuary. Many churches will be participating through music, scripture, dance, creative movement, drama, and preaching. Our church will have a group of young people doing “dowel rod movement.” Plan to come.

OPERATION INASMUCH NEEDS & INFORMATION
Bud vases are needed. We will make bud vase arrangements to take to nursing homes. Please bring your bud vases to the church office for this mission.

New or gently used teddy bears are needed for the Cancer Center Project. Please drop off at the church office.

Cookies for Teachers: We will reach out to as many schools as there are willing volunteers. One school can be ministered to by multiple parents, so look for opportunities to team up to create a basket full of goodies.

Cookies and more cookies are needed. Please be getting ready to bake lots and lots of cookies. More information will be coming soon.

COMING THIS SUMMER FOR CHILDREN
Traveler’s Club starts Thursday June 14 and meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. for kids having completed K-6. Camp Crescendo Music Camp will be July 9-13 for the same age group. Registration forms for both events will be available in May. Vacation Bible School is July 30-August 3; no pre-registration is required. This is for ages 2 through grade 6.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to the following who were winners of the Associational Bible Drills: Cooper Andrews, Elizabeth Carter, Libby Dotson, Hinton Edgerton, Taylor Leposa, James McMillen, Logan Salas, William Ashley and Muriel Lasater. They will advance to the State Bible Drill the last of April.

YMCA PRAYER BREAKFAST
Everyone is invited to the 7th Annual YMCA Prayer Breakfast. It will be Thursday, April 12th from 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Guest speaker is David Thompson (former NCSU basketball player.) Breakfast is provided.

BABY DEDICATIONS
Baby Dedications will be Mother’s Day, May 13th. If you have had a baby since last May and would like to have your baby dedicated, please call the church office.
