So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

CHILDREN’S SAFETY COMMITTEE UPDATE
Over the next several months the Children’s Safety Committee (CSC) will publish information in The Visitor and online to educate our fellowship on issues related to the committee’s work. The CSC was not formed in response to any one event or issue, but rather from a desire to be proactive in providing the safest facilities and best practices for our children and their volunteers. This is why we believe the task of the CSC is both significant and necessary in order for our church to continue to be a place of ministry for our community as well as our existing church family. We hope you will take some time and read the information that will be shared with you. We all need to be more informed and aware of the scope and priority of the practices we should be implementing. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact Michelle Ball, Brad Felts or Bryan Harris.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Jeff and Vanessa Garris on the arrival of their infant daughter, Emma Kate. The proud grandmother is Evelyn Garris.

HOUSEHOLD CLOSET UPDATE
Thank you church family for your contributions to the Household Closet. Each month we help three to five families. Thank you also to A.J. and Mary Ball and Susan Hall for your help in the closet.
Needs:
• Pots, pans, cooking utensils and flatware (it doesn’t need to match or have lids.)
• Glassware, dishes, salt and pepper shakers are frequently needed items.
• Bed linens, pillows, and crib linens. It would be very helpful if you would label the lines with sizes.
Soon the summer weather will limit time spent in the attic for sorting and shelving items contributed; however, we will continue to provide items available for requests to the best of our ability. If you would like to help with the closet, please contact Dianne Shirley at 989-9659.
