So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

SPONSOR A CHILD FROM MPOLONJENI
If you want to continue making an impact to the community of Mpolonjeni in Swaziland, Africa, you have an opportunity to sponsor a child. Just $35 a month (a little over a dollar a day) benefits a child in this AIDS-affected region, along with his or her family and their community.

You’ll be able to demonstrate the unconditional love of God by helping to provide access to resources like clean water, nutritious food, basic health care, educational opportunities, and economic development assistance – plus critical resources such as compassionate, trained volunteers to help children whose parents are sick or dying; age appropriate HIV-prevention education based on biblical values; and practical life skills training.

All of these essentials work together to break the cycle of poverty and help sponsored children reach his or her God-given potential.

Upon our visit to Swaziland, we met many children who were under the umbrella of World Vision Sponsorship and feel it is a valuable ministry. If you’re not sponsoring a child already, please consider doing so.

FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE SEE OR CALL TOMMY AT CHURCH.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PARENTS
A reminder that your formal photograph and three candid photos are due in the church office by May 18th. That same day at 7:00 p.m. please join Beth Watson in the Music Room to rehearse a song to be sung at the Graduate Banquet on June 8. All parents are welcome; a copy of the CD is being made this week and will be distributed soon.

COLLEGE GRADUATES
College graduates, don’t forget to call the church office and let us know what degree you will be receiving so we may recognize you in the bulletin and Visitor.
