So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him
Hebrews 9:28 (NIV)

T-SHIRTS FOR GUATEMALA
T-Shirts will be available to help raise money for Tabitha, our partnering ministry in Guatemala. The ministry seeks to aid impoverished mothers living in a Guatemalan dump by providing childcare so that the mothers can earn income during the day. The T-Shirts reflect the spirit of the Tabitha mission—providing hope in the dump. Shirts come in adult sizes S-XL, and are available in the church office for a donation of at least $12.

HONDURAS MISSION TRIP THANK YOU
Thank you for you financial support, medications and most of all your prayers. We ministered to a little over 1000 people and four accepted our Lord and wished to be saved after our witness team visited. The team went door to door to give solar radios programmed for religious stations in the area. An elderly couple could not read, nor travel to a church. They wished to be saved and wanted a Bible to give to their grandchildren. Certainly an experience we will never forget. To God be the glory. Anesha Johnson, Kay Carroll, and Allison Carroll

YOU ARE INVITED
THE BODY OF CHRIST
The Nominating Committee is continuing to seek the Spirit’s leading in coordinating the gifts and talents God has assembled here at FBC for Kingdom work. Have you given prayerful reflection concerning where you would like to serve? When Paul talks about the “body of Christ” he mentions how every part is important, every part is vital. Remember the priority is how God can work in and through you, not if you think you’re good enough. You are a part of the body of Christ, so don’t miss out on making a difference in someone’s life. You are a part, a much needed part, SO BE A PART! Please feel free to contact any of the committee members; Joyce Wright (Chairperson), Gayle Bizzell, Kay Carroll, Terry Carroll or Judy Williams with your responses or questions.
THANK YOU
The family of John Hamilton would like to thank everyone in the church family who helped with the food, visits and kind expressions of love and sympathy during his sickness and homegoing.

MUSIC NOTES
Thank you to all the singers, readers, handbell choir participants, and behind the scenes personnel who made the Patriotic Vespers a success.

VESPERS THANK YOU
I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all those who served ice cream at this year’s Patriotic Vespers. Your time and talents are much appreciated and they served to make this festivity an unforgettable one, especially as we honor our brave men and women who have made and who continue to make this nation of our so great. Truly the Fourth of July celebration is a time to reflect upon the countless reasons we have to be so respectful to our country’s finest, and I very much appreciate everyone who contributed to make this past Sunday an evening that we, as both Christians and American’s, can all be proud of. With much thanks and appreciation, Glenda Strickland

WE NEED YOU
The Soup Kitchen is in need of volunteers. Nothing new right? Well you can fit in because there are many ways to help. Can’t cook? Okay, help set up the dining hall or wrap desserts (we need about 60 per day). How about serving a bowl of soup or a plate of food? Still not your bag? You can deliver meals in the Smithfield area. It only takes about 30 – 40 minutes, directions provided for you and you have a partner. We pack the food, all you have to do is drive and deliver. If you are working to 5:00 or 5:30, come by and pitch in to help cleanup. We are asking for one Monday or Thursday a month. There is something everyone can do. We believe the Soup Kitchen is inspired by our Lord. We believe it belongs to Him and serving is a privilege and honor. The Soup Kitchen is a mission field where the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. We are praying God will call you and you will answer His call. Please call me, Anesha Johnson, or Sybil Edwards if you hear His call and wish to answer. Approximately 130 people depend upon this ministry every Monday and Thursday.
