WE NEED YOU
The Soup Kitchen is in need of volunteers. Nothing
new right? Well you can fit in because there are
many ways to help. Can’t cook? Okay, help
set up the dining hall or wrap desserts (we need
about 60 per day). How about serving a bowl of
soup or a plate of food? Still not your bag? You
can deliver meals in the Smithfield area. It only
takes about 30 – 40 minutes, directions
provided for you and you have a partner. We pack
the food, all you have to do is drive and deliver.
If you are working to 5:00 or 5:30, come by and
pitch in to help cleanup. We are asking for one
Monday or Thursday a month. There is something
everyone can do. We believe the Soup Kitchen is
inspired by our Lord. We believe it belongs to
Him and serving is a privilege and honor. The
Soup Kitchen is a mission field where the harvest
is plenty but the workers are few. We are praying
God will call you and you will answer His call.
Please call me, Anesha Johnson, or Sybil Edwards
if you hear His call and wish to answer. Approximately
130 people depend upon this ministry every Monday
and Thursday.
