So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

The ministry seeks to aid impoverished mothers living in a Guatemalan dump by providing childcare so that the mothers can earn income during the day. The T-Shirts reflect the spirit of the Tabitha mission—providing "hope in the dump". Shirts come in adult sizes S-XL, and are available in the church office for a donation of at least $12.

ON MISSION
Faye and Bill Downs will be attending the Happiness Retreat at Caraway Conference Center in Asheboro, July 24th – August 2nd. They will lead Bible study for the caregivers of those with special needs. Please be in prayer for Bill and Faye as they embark on this special journey to minister to over 800 individuals.

WE NEED YOU
The Soup Kitchen is still in need of volunteers. There are many ways you can plug in to this God-inspired ministry. We can use people to prepare or serve the food; people to package meals to be delivered; drivers to deliver meals and partners to help navigate the routes; and people to help with clean-up. We even need good listeners and encouragers. There is something everyone can do! We believe the Soup Kitchen belongs to God and serving is a privilege and honor. It is a mission field where the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Please call Anesha Johnson or Sybil Edwards if you feel led to help with this ministry. We feed approximately 130 people each week, both physically and spiritually.

THANK YOU FOR VBS
I can’t say “Thank You” enough for all the folks who supported Vacation Bible School this summer. There were so many of you who committed yourself to investing in the lives of so many children. The total enrollment for the week was 328! All though I could not be a part of the week, I prayed for the ministry that was being done. From the pre-planning by lead teachers, to the music, worship assembly, crafts, cookout, refreshments, childcare, teaching of the teaching teams and support of the runner and office staff, many gifts and talents came together for an amazing result. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you FBC family for your support and ownership of this powerful outreach ministry to our community. The ministry carried on, Kingdom work was done and the good news of Jesus and His love for children and their families was shared! What a week!

Thankfully Yours,
Bryan
