CHURCHWIDE POOL PARTY
All ages are invited to attend a pool party and cookout with games and fellowship Sunday, August 16th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Family Pool in South Smithfield. No sign-up is required. Bring a friend or neighbor!

YOUTH NEWS
Youth Parent Meeting will be Sunday, August 23rd in the Fellowship Hall. Don’t miss this time of information upcoming youth events. See Ya then!!!

ATTENTION 3RD – 6TH GRADERS
Don’t’ miss Camp Oak Hill September 18th -20th and “Get Connected To The Power!!!” Prayer is our way to connect with God. We will explore the Lord’s Prayer, as well as other forms of prayer. We will enjoy Bible studies, games, worship, fellowship, swimming in the pool, canoeing on the pond, singing around the campfire, and campers choice. Cost is $100.00, which is due in the church office with the completed registration form on or before August 2.

LUNCH PRESENTATION
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, August 4th at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall for hot dogs with all the fixin’s followed by a presentation and information about local Hospice providers. Several Hospice Representatives will be joining us. Please make plans to join us for this time of food, fellowship and information. Please call the church office at 934-9771 to sign-up.

HOUSEHOLD ITEM NEEDS
There is a GREAT need for items to help replenish our household closet. The following items are needed: dinnerware, beverage glasses, pillows, blankets, bath linens, pots and pans. Any items that could be used in a household setting would be welcomed.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
The Raleigh Baptist Association is offering a multi-class training session on Saturday, August 15th from 8:00am – 12:00pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh. There will be 55 classes to choose from touching on a variety of ministry aspects. For a full listing of the workshops, go the RBA’s website (www.raleighbaptists.org) and click on Training Extravaganza or we can make you a copy in the office. I’ll be going up and if you would like to ride together please call the church office or email me (bryan@fbcsmithfield.org). This is no cost for the training and is a great opportunity to pick up some helpful ministry tools.
