WELCOME TO WORSHIP
Welcome to Worship is a four week class offered
for our First Graders. This will be held during
the 10:55 worship service September 12, 19, 26
and October 3. These classes will help our First
Graders to find ways to worship God, learn about
baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and give
them some helpful tools they can use as they join
us in worship. Children will go back to their
Sunday School classroom after the Children’s
Sermon and stay there until you pick them up after
worship. Look for more information in the mail.
ATTENTION
Are your interested in being part of an intermediate
handbell choir? If so, this choir will meet on
Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. beginning in September.
If you are interested, please contact Kerrie Clayton
in the church office, 934-9771, or by email, Kerrie@fbcsmithfield.org.
MEN'S
SALT BIBLE STUDY
Men’s Bible Study begins Monday, September
13, 2010.
Our study comes from the book of Revelations.
We will use the text “Escape the Coming
Night” which includes four study guides
by Dr. David Jeremiah. I also have the CDs from
the group of sermons he did for this study. We’ll
listen to the CDs each week followed by a discussion
time. We will meet on Monday evenings at 7:00
p.m. There will be a cost of $29.50 per person
for all materials. Scholarships are available
to those who need help. In order to make arrangements
and obtain the materials in a timely fashion,
please call the church office at 934-9771 or you
may call me at 919-634-1742 if you plan to participate.
I will place the group material order on August
31st. (If I have to order additional materials
I cannot guarantee the above quoted price.) This
should be a revealing and exciting study. Make
plans now to attend. –Steve Adkins
