help with Meals on Wheels. Kitchen help and six
people to deliver meals are needed. Please contact
Anesha Johnson (934-1601) if you can help.
PINE
CONE CHRISTMAS TREES
Christmas will be here soon and it’s time
to decorate!!! Pine Cone Christmas Trees are waiting
for someone to dress them up for shut ins. We
plan to begin in September on Saturday morning,
September 5th at 9:00 a.m. – noon in the
Fellowship Hall. Bring a glue gun and glue sticks
if you have them and anything you have to make
a pine cone beautiful. It’s a lot of fun.
Come and join up. Contact Anesha Johnson (934-1601)
if you have questions.
CHILDREN’S
CLOTHES ARE NEEDED
The Clothes Closet needs children’s clothes.
We are out of clothes from infancy through teenagers.
If you have clothes your children have outgrown
we would greatly appreciate them. Children will
be starting back to school soon (some have already
gone back) and you can help support this need
through your generous donations.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUPPERS RESUME
Wednesday Night Suppers will resume NEXT WEDNESDAY,
August 26th. Sign up sheets will be in Sunday
School classes. There will be cards in the pew
racks in the Sanctuary for those who do not sign
up in Sunday School. You may also sign up by calling
the church office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday
or leave a message on the answering machine Monday
evening.
As
a reminder, below are some guidelines for Wednesday
Night Suppers.
? Cost: $4.00 Adults, $2.00 Children (ages 2-9),
$13.00 max. per family. No charge for children
up to 2 years old. Independent children not living
with family are not part of the “family”
plan.
? Meals will be served from 5:30 – 6:15.
Children in choir must eat before going to choir.
? All meals are to be eaten in the Fellowship
Hall. Do not take to choir or classrooms.
? Parents, if you sign up your child for a child’s
menu, please be sure that it is what your child
gets. Pick up a red ticket when you pay for the
meal.
? When you finish eating, please take your plate,
silverware and glasses to the clean up area. If
you wish to keep your tea/water, please get a
paper cup. That way the dishwasher can get everything
washed. This also helps those who are cleaning
the tables.
? We do not encourage take-outs; however, if one
is necessary, sign up when you pay for the meal.
The take-outs will not be ready before 6:30, and
there will be an additional charge of $.50 for
each take-out.
? If you realize you cannot be at supper, please
call the church office and cancel.
WELCOME
TO WORSHIP
Welcome to Worship is a four week class offered
for our First Graders. This will be held during
the 10:55 worship service September 13, 20, 27
and October 4. These classes will help our First
Graders to find ways to worship God, learn about
baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and give
them some helpful tools they can use as they join
us in worship. Children will go back to their
Sunday School classroom after the Children’s
Sermon and stay there until you pick them up after
worship. Look for more information in the mail.
CAN
YOU HELP WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES?
