So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

Come out and join us for this time to share and learn God’s word. Please call Steve Adkins at 919-300-1764 (home) or 919-634-1742 (cell) to sign up, or you may call the church office.

WELCOME TO WORSHIP
Welcome to Worship is a four week class offered for our First Graders. This will be held during the 10:55 worship service September 13, 20, 27 and October 4. These classes will help our First Graders to find ways to worship God, learn about baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and give them some helpful tools they can use as they join us in worship. Children will go back to their Sunday School classroom after the Children’s Sermon and stay there until you pick them up after worship. Look for more information in the mail.

USED CELL PHONES AND PRINTER CARTRIDGES
Don’t forget to bring your used cell phones and empty printer cartridges to the office for the Kennedy Home. They really add up!

JBA FALL SENIOR ADULT RALLY

CHURCH WIDE TEACHER TRAINING
Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 3. We will have a training event designed to meet the learning needs for all age groups in our church. If you are working with Pre-School & Children, Youth or Adults you can come and gain valuable insights into maximizing your effectiveness in ministering to them. The training is divided by age groups not ministry areas. The training will last from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. We will have speakers from outside our church come and share their insights with us. If you are involved in working with any of these age groups, or if you are interested in getting plugged in, please make plans to attend. Call the church office so we can better plan the light breakfast and other accommodations. If you have questions, contact Tommy Cook or Bryan Harris.

SYMPATHY
We express our Christian sympathy to Jeanette Massengill in the recent homegoing of her sister.

MISSION UPDATE
Last year we supported the T.I.M. Mission. What is that? We did? YES!!! T.I.M. is Transform India Movement. Through your financial gifts the N.C. Baptist Men were able to adopt a village, which provides a well, literacy training, a bicycle for a church planter, 200 Bibles, hymnals and a medical clinic in the village. In addition to the above, another village received clean water through a well. Through your efforts, two villages received clear clean water for the first time, and living water for all eternity. Check out the photos on the bulletin board behind the Sanctuary. The smiles are just precious. Let’s do it again! Clean water is priceless to those who have never had any.

BIBLE STUDY MISSION DAY GROUP
Bible Study Mission Day Group will meet this Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 a.m. at Susie’s Restaurant on Highway 301 South (beside White Swan).
