WAYS YOU CAN HELP
The disaster Relief Team will be going on a Mission Trip on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4, 2008. They will be going to Red Springs, NC. If you are interested, please contact Joyce Wright at 934-3547 or call the church office at 934-9771.

Mission of Joy: Years ago my father received a Christmas tree made from a pine cone. He was so happy with his little tree. Why not bring joy at Christmas by giving a little tree to all shut ins at Christmas. If you are interested please contact Anesha Johnson at 934-1601.

Mission of Clear Water Clean, clear water is one thing we take for granted. In India this is an unreachable dream. Would you like to help someone drink a cup of clean, clear water? Please contact Anesha Johnson at 934-1601 for more information.

Backpack Program Needs You: We are looking for volunteers to help deliver backpacks to South Smithfield and Selma Elementary on Friday mornings from 9:15 – 10:15. We have approximately 102 backpacks that will be packed with food for children on the weekends, so a little muscle will be needed. If you could help, please call Tommy at the church office at 934-9771.

Friends of Children Day at the Kennedy Home will be September 20the. We will be leaving from the church at 7:30 a.m. and will return by mid afternoon. We will help in the cottages, have lunch and attend a brief meeting. Everyone is welcome to go lend a hand. If you would like to go help and visit the children, please call Carolyn Tharrington at 934-3749.

THANK YOU
To my church family, Thank you for the prayers, visits, food and phone calls during my last two stays in the hospital. Billie Cretini

Thank you to all those who brought laundry detergent for the Rescue Mission. The shelter directors were very appreciative of the donations. I will continue to inform you on the needs of the shelter every quarter. Thanks again. Mallory Barnes
