THANK YOU
Dear First Baptist, Thank you for your prayers, visits, phone calls and cards during my last stay in the hospital. They were deeply appreciated. It is wonderful to be part of such a wonderful church family. Treva Smith

THANK YOU FROM SOUTH AFRICA
This past summer three college students, Lam Armstrong, Hinton Armstrong and Adam Carroll, were on mission in South Africa. The following is a note of thanks from Pastor Riaan from a church in South Africa:
Just a word of sincere thanks from our church here in South Africa. I would like to thank you for sending these three guys to come and minister with us. Although they were with us for a short time they were an incredible blessing. If their love and serving hearts are a reflection of you as a community of faith, then you must have a great church.

I also would like to thank you for the money that you sent to help us build a library for our missions partner in Mozambique. In due course, we will send some photos so that you will be able to see what has been accomplished.

May God bless you for your willingness to partner with us here on this continent to build the church of our beloved savior Jesus Christ.

This day I will marry my best friend,
the one I laugh with, dream with, live for, love.

CHURCH WIDE TRUNK OR TREAT!
No matter your age make plans to have a blast at our FBC Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 28 from 3:30 – 5:00. The event will be in the parking lot across from Cecil’s Service Center. Begin creating a plan for decorating your trunk/hatch back in the most creative ways possible. Each vehicle is responsible for its own treats, and tricks! Adults can even dress up themselves. If you would like to have a vehicle participating, please call the church office to sign up. Vehicle decorating will take place from 2:30 until 3:30. Vehicles will be allowed to enter the parking lot from 2:30-3:10 only. Once a vehicle is inside the parking lot the vehicle must stay parked and engines off until all children have left the area. This is a wonderful time to celebrate community as we fellowship together and watch our children trick or treat from trunk to trunk.
