So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him

SPIRITUAL RENEWAL RETREAT
God loved us when we didn’t deserve it. He continues to love us now. Do we respond to it with him? How about with others? Sound tough? Join us for the Spiritual Renewal Retreat this Friday and Saturday, November 6 & 7, 2009 here at First Baptist and we’ll discuss the ways to share more of what He gives us with each other and others.

If you haven’t signed up, be sure to call this week so we can get you included in an appropriate workshop. THANK YOU FROM FBC YOUTH
Thank you to all the people who worked endless hours to put together the Seventh Annual Becky Knott Golf Tournament. Words alone cannot express our appreciation. A special thank you to all the individuals and businesses who sponsored teams and came out and played, and to all those who graciously made other donations to the golf tournament. This year the tournament raised approximately $7,000 for our 2010 Mission Trip. We cannot thank you enough for your love and continued support of our youth group. Love, FBC Youth

THANK YOU
Mrs. Kaye Thompson, mother of Sherri T. Creech, wishes to express her thanks to the congregation for all the phone calls, cards, and above all the many prayers to restore her to good health during the many weeks she spent in the hospital. Your prayers were surely answered as God had mercy to save her life, and continues to bless her by improving her health daily.

THANKSGIVING DINNER
Each year our church reaches out to the community to provide Thanksgiving meals for those who would otherwise not have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. We are in the process of gathering all of the necessary food items and manual help needed to make this mission come together. Please contact Anesha Johnson at 934-1601 or 631-2684 if you are interested in participating in this wonderful event.

If you can help in any way, please use the form below. Put a check mark or quantity next to the items you will be able to help with, tear off this form and place in the offering plate, turn it into the church office or give to Anesha Johnson or Cheryl Campbell.

I will leave for Honduras on November 14th and will return November 21st; therefore, I am planning and asking for your assistance early.
