2012 PROPOSED BUDGET
Inside please find the 2012 proposed Budget for First Baptist Church. We will have a Budget Presentation Meeting in the Fellowship Hall Wednesday night, November 9th after Family Night Supper and will vote on the Budget Sunday, November 13th.
YOUTH INFORMATION
FBC Youth Group will meet Sunday, November 6th at 6:15 p.m. for Snack Supper followed by Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. Carlee & Claire Sharpe, Meagan Barham, George Smith, Rock Wilson, Walker Malphrus, and Tyler Tant are responsible for Snack Supper.
Lock Out – THIS Friday, Nov. 4. Meet at the FBC Smithfield Fellowship Hall at 9 p.m. Cost is $35 includes midnight bowling, Adventure Landing (pizza, unlimited putt-putt, lazer tag, go-carts and most video games) This is an “up all night” event.
PASSPORT Missions Youth Camp
Mercer University in Macon Georgia, (June 23-29, 2012)

BACKPACK NEEDS
The Backpack Program needs your help with the following items for our backpack ministry:
- Juice Boxes (100% fruit juice) – 400 weekly (the Food Bank no longer provides these
- Breakfast Bars – 100 weekly
- 18 oz. jars of peanut butter – 100 monthly
If you can help with any of the above items, please drop off your donations in the church office.

ARE YOU MISSING A KNIFE?
Did you bring a knife to Homecoming and it did not make it home with you? If you are missing a Reed & Barton 1800 series knife that you had on the dessert table, please contact Joan Marcom, 989-6275.
LOST
A shovel that was borrowed for Children’s Choir Camp this summer is missing. If you loaned us props, please check to see if you have an extra shovel that has a hole drilled in the end so it can be hung up. If you accidentally picked up this shovel, please return it to the church office.

PINE CONE CHRISTMAS TREE UPDATE!!!
So far we have 225 (approx.) beautiful trees ready to give with a message that God loves them. Please help up make enough to give to each person in a nursing home and hospital. Your tree could make a difference. We meet every Friday at Shirley Sullivan’s place….at the workshop behind her house in “Tom’s Barn.” Come join the fun and fellowship. SOUP KITCHEN NEEDS
Our Soup Kitchen is in need of the following canned goods: Pop top cans of food, #10 cans of pork ‘n beans, apple sauce, pasta, dried beans and rice. The need to fill a shopping bag for a family of 4 would really help. Example: oatmeal, cereal bars, cans of beans, dried fruit, canned meats (tuna chicken), pasta, spaghetti, mac ‘n cheese. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse where you can pack a shoe box with small toys, books, crayons, etc. for a boy or girl. If you would like to participate in Operation Christmas Child, brochures are available in the office with instructions and suggestions about items to pack in the boxes.
