MIDDLE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS OUTING
“A Christmas Carol” Experience
at the IMAX theater in Raleigh, Friday, Dec. 4
Dinner and a movie, 5 – 10:30 p.m.
Cost: $14 (plus money for quick dinner and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts after the movie.

We will leave the church at 5 p.m., stop on the way to Raleigh for fast food dinning and go to Raleigh to watch the new “Christmas Carol” in 3-D IMAX style. We will then “sled” over to Krispy Kreme for some hot fresh doughnuts. Call Tommy for availability.

SENIOR HIGH PROGRESSIVE DINNER
Senior High Progressive Dinner is Saturday, December 12 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please call the church office and let us know if you will be attending.

YOUTH CHOIR CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Youth Choir Christmas party is this Saturday, December 5th, leaving the church at 3:00 p.m. to go to dinner at Rock Ola Café, then on to The Singing Christmas Tree at Snyder Memorial in Fayetteville. Call the church office to sign up. Bring money for dinner.

The Coastal Women’s Retreat will be held February 26 – 28, 2010 at Caswell. All women are invited to attend. The theme is “Make a Splash.” The cost for the weekend is $134.00. BACKPACK NEEDS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The Backpack Program needs the following items for the upcoming holidays: 18 oz. jars of Peanut Butter, cans of Chef Boyardee (any size), 8 pack cereal boxes (small individual boxes), small individual boxes of raisins, individual fruit cups or apple sauce. 2010 is just around the corner and with it our Capital Stewardship Campaign. Even though the campaign will not officially start until next year, donations can be made in 2009. Any donation received in the church office before December 31st (or postmarked by that date) will be credited to 2009 contributions. This applies to budget and other designated offerings, as well. “Each person should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
