GOING ON THE MISSION TRIP…..Don’t forget to
bring luggage to the church Friday night 6:30 p.m. –
7:30 p.m. to load the U-haul. Meet in the Sanctuary
at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning for prayer before departing
for Gulfport at 6:30 a.m. Don’t forget your
bag breakfast.

ON MISSION TO GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI
Sincere thanks
to those who are collecting baby food jars for VBS this
summer. At last count, we have collected 73 out of the
203 we need. School age children will be using them
to make tea light candle holders, so please keep bringing
those jars (2.5 oz) to church. VBS will be here before
we know it! We are also still looking for 1 adult (male
or female) to assist the school age children with crafts
during VBS. Call Renee Wooters (934-5252) if you're
interested!
Experience the Joy of Missions at Ridgecrest September
29-30. There will be great motivational speakers, workshops,
wonderful music and Disaster Relief training. Call Sybil
Edwards or Anesha Johnson to sign up. Let’s go and learn
more about Missions.
For September 15 – 17 to go to Camp Oak Hill. The theme
this year is “Hey God!” On this weekend retreat we will
enjoy Bible study, camp activities, worship, fun and
fellowship. The cost is $80.00. You may pick up your
registration form in the church office. Registration,
2006 permission forms and monies are due by Sunday,
August 20th.
Camp Crescendo (Children’s Choir Camp)
is August 7 – 11 for children who have completed grades
K – 6. The theme this year is “Creation Sensation.”
Registration forms have been mailed. The are also available
in the church office. Deadline to register is
July 1.
All adults (ages 18 and up) are welcome to help the
Sanctuary Choir on Sunday mornings this summer. A rehearsal
to go over all summer anthems will be held this Sunday,
June 25th from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. A covered dish choir
member and family lunch will be held immediately after
the 10:55 service. Call the church office if you would
like to come to the lunch.
Everyone is invited to attend the NC Baptist All State
Youth Choir performance at Campbell University, Wednesday,
July 19 at 7:00 p.m. The All State Baptist Youth Choir
is an auditioned group of over 80 voices of senior high
students from Baptist church all over NC. They sing
a high quality and wide variety of choral styles. All
those interested in attending please call the church
office to sign up. We will gather and leave FBC at 5:30
(please eat before you come). We will be driving personalvehicles
(all church vehicles will be at Caswell). Let Kelley
know if you are willing to drive.
Sign up in your Sunday School Class
or call the church office to bring your favorite, scrumptious,
sinfully delicious homemade ice cream on July 2 for
Patriotic Vespers.
