Join us for our Annual Patriotic
Vespers. We will enjoy preservice music by Bob Goodwin,
Hammered Dulcimer. Special Music by the Sanctuary Choir,
Soloists, and Baptist Blend Quartet. Monologue by Abigail
Adams (Mary Nell Ferguson), Skit by the Steve Burgess
Family, and Patriotic Readings followed by homemade
ice cream on the church lawn. Invite your neighbors
to join us!
The nursery will be open.

ALL GOING TO CASWELL…..If you did not
attend the Caswell meeting please come by the church
office for paperwork required for this trip. All paperwork
needs to be completed by Thursday, July 6.
Sincere thanks
to those who are collecting baby food jars for VBS this
summer. At last count, we have collected 73 out of the
203 we need. School age children will be using them
to make tea light candle holders, so please keep bringing
those jars (2.5 oz) to church. VBS will be here before
we know it! We are also still looking for 1 adult (male
or female) to assist the school age children with crafts
during VBS. Call Renee Wooters (934-5252) if you're
interested!
Experience the Joy of Missions at Ridgecrest September
29-30. There will be great motivational speakers, workshops,
wonderful music and Disaster Relief training. Call Sybil
Edwards or Anesha Johnson to sign up. Let’s go and learn
more about Missions.
For September 15 – 17 to go to Camp Oak Hill. The theme
this year is “Hey God!” On this weekend retreat we will
enjoy Bible study, camp activities, worship, fun and
fellowship. The cost is $80.00. You may pick up your
registration form in the church office. Registration,
2006 permission forms and monies are due by Sunday,
August 20th.
Camp Crescendo (Children’s Choir Camp)
is August 7 – 11 for children who have completed grades
K – 6. The theme this year is “Creation Sensation.”
Registration forms have been mailed. The are also available
in the church office. Deadline to register is
July 1.
As of June 28th we have registered 121 children, not
including chaperones. This is a record number! Continue
to keep this group in your prayers on Thursday mornings.
Everyone is invited to attend the NC Baptist All State
Youth Choir performance at Campbell University, Wednesday,
July 19 at 7:00 p.m. The All State Baptist Youth Choir
is an auditioned group of over 80 voices of senior high
students from Baptist church all over NC. They sing
a high quality and wide variety of choral styles. All
those interested in attending please call the church
office to sign up. We will gather and leave FBC at 5:30
(please eat before you come). We will be driving personalvehicles
(all church vehicles will be at Caswell). Let Kelley
know if you are willing to drive.

We will have a Disaster Relief Trip leaving on
October 28th. If you would like to devote a week to
helping others please contact the church office or Joyce

To My Church Family, Thank you so much for the love
you have shown me during the illness and death of my
mother. Your cards, flowers, food, prayers and many
acts of Christian kindness have been overwhelming. Please
continue to remember me and my family in your prayers
as we heal from our loss. God Bless you all. Willie

Dear Church Family, Thanks so much for the many kind
things you have done for us during the recent sickness
and death of Bob’s mother. We really appreciate the
food, phone calls, visits, cards and most of all your
prayers. We are so thankful to be part of this loving

during the illness and homegoing of our mom. The cards,
