YOUTH NEWS
RISING 7TH GRADERS join us for an introduction into the
youth group at Wet n’ Wild Water Park, Tuesday, August 15.
Cost: $ 45 (which includes 2 meals, travel, t-shirt, a special
youth ministry tool and admission in the park.) Sign-up and
pay in the church office by Monday, August 7. Make sure we
have a 2006 permission form on file for you. Be at the church at
7:45 a.m. We will return around 8:00 p.m. Bring towel,
sunscreen, swim suit, and dry clothes for the ride home. 7th
grade friends are invited too!!! In case of bad weather we will
do indoor activities in the Raleigh Area. If you have questions
call Tommy at the church (934-9771) or on his cell (333-4248).
ATTENTION 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS… join us for a
middle school Bible study on Monday, August 7th from 7:00
– 9:00 p.m. at the home of Abby Johnson, 415 E. Davis St..
Meet in front of the church at 6:45 p.m. or meet us at Abby’s
house at 7:00 p.m. Invite your friends!
ALL YOUTH join us for a night of climbing adventure on
Thursday, August 10th from 6:00 – 10:30 p.m. at Raleigh
Rock Yard followed by a trip to Krispy Kreme. The cost is
$12.00 plus money for doughnuts on the way home. We will
gather in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. and return to
church around 10:30 p.m. Call the church office to sign up
by Tuesday, August 8th. Parents must sign a waiver for each
participant. Feel free to invite your friends!
Experience the Joy of Missions
at Ridgecrest September 29-30.There will be great motivational
speakers, workshops,wonderful music and Disaster Relief
training. Call Sybil Edwards or Anesha Johnson to sign
up. Let’s go and learn more about Missions
For September 15 – 17 to go
to Camp Oak Hill. The theme this year is “Hey God!”
On this weekend retreat we will enjoy Bible study, camp
activities, worship, fun and fellowship. The cost is
$80.00. You may pick up your registration form in the
church office. Registration, 2006 permission forms and
monies are due by Sunday, August 20th.
MUSIC NOTES
Camp Crescendo (Children’s Choir Camp) is next week!
The theme this year is “Creation Sensation.” We will meet each
day from 9:00 a.m. until noon (you can drop off as early as
8:45). We will gather each day in the Music Room. Contact
Kelley if you still want to register.

Relief Trip leaving on October 28th. If you would like

The Household Closet is BARE!
We need all items: sheets, dishes, flatware, pots and
pans, bath and kitchen towels, blankets…….any
household items in good repair will be appreciated.
You may drop off you items in the area beside and in
front of the elevator. Please label them for the

ON MISSION
Faye and Bill Downs are attending the Happiness Retreats
sponsored by the NC Baptist State Convention at Caraway
Conference Center July 28 – August 6. They will lead Bible
study to care givers of those with special needs. Please be in
prayer for Bill and Faye as they embark on this special journey.
A training session for church leaders
will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 4815 Six Forks
Road in Raleigh on August 19 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:45
p.m. See the poster on the bulletin board across from
the kitchen. All sessions are listed.
WEB SITE LAUNCH PARTY
Come join us Wednesday, August 23 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. in the Fellowship Hall to see our new website. We will
enjoy pastries, drinks, coffee and more. This will be a time to
view and ask question about this wonderful informational tool
