Blackwell, president of the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina at the 2006 Homecoming in Thomasville on August 6.  Dr. Blackwell said, “Carolyn is an encouragement to me.  She is an inspiration to our children and families and to our staff.”  What an honor for Carolyn, but in her shining moment she praised her church family, the members of First Baptist, for their support and love of these children.
