COVID-19: The Path Forward

Update for First Baptist Church Family:

As North Carolina eases the restrictions placed on public gatherings, we want our church family to know that we are taking steps to return to worship, Bible study and fellowship in a manner that prioritizes the safety of all our members.  We are planning to open slowly, beginning with worship, and will present a plan to the deacons very soon.   As soon as clear plans are in place, we will communicate them to the entire church family via the website, newsletter, and prayer chain.

In the meantime, we plan to continue streaming our worship services on Facebook and YouTube.  Our website:  fbcsmithfield.org has links to both sites as well as videos for Bible study with Dr. Cogdill, Preschool & Children’s Bible lessons, Youth lessons and special occasions.  We pray that these ministries and opportunities for worship have engaged your family as we continue to serve the LORD.

As Christians committed to the service of others, we ask that you continue the excellent work of reaching out to all of your Sunday School members and small groups within our fellowship.  Continue to reach out to our senior citizens and to your neighbors.  Although the church office is closed to the public, we are keeping office hours during the week, M-F 8 AM – 4:30 PM.  Please call 919-934-9771 if you need assistance.

Continue to be “salt and light” in your home and community!

The Lord Bless You and Keep You,

Amy, Braxton, Brian and Mike
